Things to note about the graphic design

  • PDF, TIFF, AI and PNG :The most common file formats for printing
  • JPEG is a compressed format that can result in loss of image quality, so it's best to use this format only if necessary.

  • A resolution of 300 PPI/DPI is recommended for the design file, if the resolution is less than 150 DPI, it needs to be redraw.

  • If we want to print a design in size of 8 x 10 inches. To calculate the required dimensions of the digital file, you would multiple the print dimensions by the resolution:

8 inches x 300 PPI = 2400 pixels

10 inches x 300 PPI = 3000 pixels

So the required digital file size would be 2400 x 3000 pixels, at a minimum.

  • Zoom in the design picture , the edges of the high resolution version of the picture should be as smooth as this two pictures.

  • If the edge is like the picture on the right, it is not a high-definition picture.
